Interior construction has started on the site of the former carriage house.
Developer, Peabody Unlimited, LLC, (Peabody) plans to convert the building into six residential apartments: two-studio, two one-bedroom and two one-bedroom with loft units. The total project is expected to cost an estimated $1,127,650 of which Peabody will provide $185,000 in equity and CRDA will provide a $332,650 loan. Other funding sources include $420,000 from the Hartford Loan Fund and $190,000 from State Historic Credits. The CRDA funds will be used for construction and associated soft costs.
